Ambedkar Jayanti Function was celebrated by Ambedkar Mission Society Punjab (Regd.) with the cooperation of All India Samata Sainik Dal (Regd.), Punjab Unit at Ambedkar Bhawan, Jalandhar on 14th April, 2012. The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Manjit Singh (Punjab University, Chandigarh) and on behalf of the Dal the special guests of the function were Shri L.R. Balley, Dr. Surendra Ajnat and Shri Jaswinder Wariana (President, AIISD Punjab Unit).

The Punjab Unit of the Dal organized ‘Ambedkar Chetana March’ on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti which started from Ambedkar Bhawan and went to Ambedkar Chowk, Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk and anded at Ambedkar Bhawan in which hundreds of people took part in addition to the Sainiks of the Dal. After the function was over, a ‘ Free Medical Check up Camp’ was organized by the Punjab Unit of the Dal in which free medicines were given to the needy patients after their check up. ‘ Free Medical Check up Camp’ was inaugurated by Shri D. D. Chandankhede (Nagpur).
Mr. Mohinder Sallan, Mrs. Sujata Sallan and their family (Canada) and Mr. Anand Balley , Mrs. Punam Balley and their family (Canada) had extended financial help to the Punjab Unit of the Dal for organizing this ‘ Free Medical Check up Camp’.
